Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep siswa yang mendapat perlakuan model Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) dengan siswa yang mendapat perlakuan model pembelajaran langsung dan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep siswa yang mendapat perlakuan model Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat perlakuan model pembelajaran langsung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SD Negeri Cilegon I dengan siswa siswa kelas VA sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini meggunakan purposive sampling. Instrument tes yang digunakan adalah soal tes uraian untuk pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 77,83 dan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 61,50. Hasil uji analisis datamenggunakan uji-t dua pihak yaitu -ttabel < thitung > ttabel atau -2,00 ≤ 7,76 > 2,00, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Serta dari uji-t pihak kanan yaitu -ttabel < thitung > ttabel atau -1,67 ≤ 7,76 > 1,67, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang menggunakan model Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung dan pemahaman konsep siswa yang menggunakan model Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) lebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung.

Additional Information: The purpose of this research is to know the differences in students' conceptual understanding of the treatment model of Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) with students who are treated with direct learning models and to understand the conceptual understanding of students who are treated with Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE ) better than students who get treatment in the direct learning model. This research method uses a quasi-experimental method. The sample in this study were students of Cilegon I Elementary School with VA students as a control class and VB class as an experimental class. The sampling technique in this study uses purposive sampling. The test instrument used was a description test question for the pretest and posttes. Based on the results of the study showed that the average value of the experimental class posttest was 77.83 and the average value of the control class posttest was 61.50. The results of the data analysis test use the two-party t-test, namely -table <thitung> ttable or -2.00 ≤ 7.76> 2.00, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. And from the t-test of the right side, namely -ttable <thitung> ttable or -1,67 > 7,76> 1,67, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there are differences in conceptual understanding between students using the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending (CORE) models with students using direct learning models and conceptual understanding of students using the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) is better than students who use the direct learning model.
