Abstract

Ketidaktercapaian tujuan pembelajaran dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor. Salah satu faktor tersebut adalah kurangnya perangkat pembelajaran seperti alat peraga maupun trainer. Proses pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan khususnya materi sistem wiper sulit dipelajari tanpa adanya media pembelajaran. Hal tersebut membuat mahasiswa merasa kebingungan dalam memahami cara kerja karena mahasiswa tidak bisa melihat dan mempraktikannya secara langsung. Kesulitan– kesulitan tersebut dibutuhkan media pembelajaran sistem wiper. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan dan mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran sistem wiper pada mata kuliah praktik kelistrikan kendaraan. Penelitian dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran sistem wiper menggunakan metode penelitian R&D (Research and Development) yang dipadukan dengan model penelitian jenis 4-D. Model penelitian jenis 4-D memiliki 4 tahap penelitian yaitu Define, Design, Develop dan Desiminate. Tahapan itu menghasilkan produk yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Selain di validasi oleh ahli, media juga diujicoba oleh pengguna yaitu mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Mesin semester 5 yang berjumlah 19 orang. Proses pengambilan data yang dilakukan yaitu menggunakan Instrumen terbuka dan tertutup. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media pembelajaran sistem wiper layak untuk diterapkan di jurusan pendidikan teknik mesin. Kelayakan tersebut didapatkan dari hasil validasi ahli media, ahli materi dan pengguna media. Rerata hasil penilaian ahli materi menunjukan presentase 81,3% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”, ahli materi hasil rata-rata menunjukan presentase 82% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik” dan rata-rata untuk angket yang telah diperoleh pada pengguna menunjukan persentase 83,75% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”.

Additional Information: naccessibility in learning goals can be caused by several factors. One of the factors are because the lack of learning tools such as teaching props and trainers. The learning process of electricity practice, especially the material of the wiper system, is difficult to learn without the learning media. That makes students feel confused in understanding how they work because students cannot see and practice it directly. These difficulties are needed wiper as the media. The purpose of this study is to determine the development process and determine the feasibility of learning media wiper systems in the subject of vehicle electrical practice. This research of making learning media using wiper system are used R&D methods. This R & D research method was combined with a 4-D type research model. The 4-D type research model has 4 stages of research; Define (Design), Design (Development), Development (Develop) and Dissemination (Desiminate). These stages will produce products that have been validated by experts. In addition to being validated by experts, the media was also tested by users, who were students of the Mechanical Engineering Education in the fifth semester who taught courses on electric vehicle practice. The data retrieval process have done using open and closed instruments. The results showed that the wiper system learning media was feasible to be applied in the mechanical engineering education department. The feasibility has obtained from the validation of media experts, material experts and media users. The average results of the assessment of material experts showed a percentage of 81.3% with the category "Very Good", for experts on the material the average results showed a percentage of 82% with the category "Very Good" and the average for the questionnaire that had been obtained by the user showed a percentage of 83, 75% with the category "Very Good.
