Abstract

This research aimed to develop and to know feasibility a practical work guidance based on learning cycle 5-E on the protist concept. The method used in this research is research and depelopment (R&D) and the designed based on design (specify learning objectives, material collection, preparation and inspection elements and refinement). practical work guidance based on learning cycle 5-E, which consisted of five learning activities: engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration and evaluation. The feasibility assessed by experts. The instrument used to asses the easibility of practical work guidance using questionnaire that cover four aspects, that are content component, the use of language, lay out and the design. The result of research showed that the development of student practical work guidance based on learning cycle 5-E on the protest concept have average of 96.75% with very good category. Based on the results of assessment, practical work guidance based on learning cycle 5-E can be applied the protistlearning process for students in grade X.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan panduan praktikum berbasis learning cycle 5-E pada konsep protista. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan desain (penentuan tujuan pembelajaran, pengumpulan materi, penyusunan elemen dan pemeriksaan dan penyempurnaan). Panduan praktikum berbasis learning cycle 5-E terdiri atas lima kegiatan belajar, antara lain engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration dan evaluation. Penilaian kelayakan berdasarkan uji ahli. Instrumen untuk menilai kelayakan panduan praktikum disusun berdasarkan 4 aspek penilaian, yaitu kelayakan isi, bahasa, sajian dan kegrafikaan. Hasil uji ahli menunjukkan bahwa panduan praktikumlearning cycle 5-E ini secara keseluruhan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 96.75% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa Panduan praktikum berbasis learning cycle 5-E dapat diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran protista untuk siswa kelas X.
