Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan minat belajar dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Kota Serang Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasi product moment. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah sampling purposive. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 November – 7 Desember 2018. Minat belajar diukur menggunakan kuesioner, kemampuan berpikir kritis diukur menggunakan tes berupa uraian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian nilai rata-rata keseluruhan minat belajar siswa memperoleh hasil 7,46% dengan kategori baik dan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis memperoleh 70,13% dengan kategori tinggi. Korelasi minat belajar dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis mendapatkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,979 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Minat memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap hasil belajar, sebab dengan minat siswa akan melakukan sesuatu yang diminatinya seperti rasa ketertarikan, partisipasi dan keinginan atau kesadaran . Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa adanya korelasi hubungan minat belajar dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran sejarah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Kota Serang.

| Additional Information: | This research aims to determine relationship between learning interest and critical thinking abilityon subjects of history at Tenth grade of SMA Negeri 08 Kota Serang in academic year 2017/2018. The research method used is product moment correlation. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The research was conducted on November 19th until December 7th, 2018. The interest in learning was measured used a questionnaire, critical thinking ability were measured used a test in the form of a description. Based on the results of the research, the average value of overall student learning interest obtains results 7,46%, with categories and the average critical thinking skills obtains 70,13% with a high category. The correlation between learning interest and critical thinking skills got a correlation coefficient of 0,979 with a highest category. Interest has a big influence on learning outcomes, because with the interest students will do someting that interests him sense of attraction, participation, and desire or awareness. This shows that there is a correlation between learning interest and critical thinking abilityon subjects of history at Tenth grade of SMA Negeri 08 Kota Serang. | |||||||||
