Abstract
This research aimed to determine the effect of CTL approach on students interest of learn and cognitive ability in structure and function of plant tissue concept. The method was a quasi experimental desain with randomized control group pretestposttest. Sample of research class was VIII A as an experiment class and VIII B as a control class. Sampling technique used random sampling. Result showed that there was the effect CTL approach on students interesting of learn and cognitive ability in structure and function of plant tissue concept at SMPN 2 Jasinga.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan CTL terhadap minat belajar dan kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas VIII pada konsep struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel penelitian yang diambil adalah kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Sampel diambil secara random sampling.
