Abstract
This researche is used to know about the influence of applying the change diary technique and copy the master technique to writing skills of short story text at grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Cisaat Year 2017/2018; and to know about the comparison both of learning technique to the writing skills of short story text. The populations are all of the students grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Cisaat Year 2017/2018 about 274 students. Although the sample of this researche which use simple random sampling technic are XI Bahasa as a class to practice with the change diary technique and XI IPS-3 as a class to practice with copy the master about 66 students. The second sampling is used to get students sample with simple random sampling technic about 60 which parting to both of sampling class about 30 students.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik ubah catatan harian dan teknik copy the master terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerita pendek siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Cisaat Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018; serta untuk mengetahui perbedaan signifikan antara penerapan kedua teknik pembelajaran terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerita pendek. Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Cisaat Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 sejumlah 274 siswa. Sedangkan sampel yang digunakan berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling adalah kelas XI Bahasa sebagai kelas yang diberi perlakuan teknik ubah catatan harian dan kelas XI IPS-3 sebagai kelas yang diberi perlakuan teknik copy the master dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 66 siswa. Hasil sampling kedua untuk memeroleh siswa sampel berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling adalah 60 yang dibagi merata pada kelas sampel dan atau sebanyak 30 siswa untuk setiap kelas penelitian. Pengujian hipotesis 1 menghasilkan temuan bahwa –ttabel < thitung > ttabel, atau -2,002 < 6,15 > 2,002, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga terdapat pengaruh teknik ubah catatan harian terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerita pendek. Pengujian hipotesis 2 menghasilkan temuan bahwa –ttabel < thitung > ttabel, atau -2,002 < 2,21 > 2,002, Ha diterima sehingga terdapat pengaruh teknik copy the master terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerita pendek. Pengujian hipotesis 3 menghasilkan temuan bahwa thitung ≥ ttabel atau 4,10>2,002, Ha diterima pada daerah penerimaan sebelah kanan sehingga terdapat perbedaan teknik ubah catatan harian dan teknik copy the master terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerita pendek. Pengaruh teknik ubah catatan harian yakni 15,2 lebih besar dibandingkan pengaruh teknik copy the master yakni 5,9. Sehingga diperoleh temuan bahwa pengaruh teknik ubah catatan harian lebih baik dibandingkan teknik copy the master terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerita pendek siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Cisaat Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. | |||||||||
