Abstract
This research aimed to determine the influence of the application learning modules based on Science and Technology Society (STM) on the concept of biotechnology towards student’s learning outcomes. This research was research and development (R & D), in large-scale trials that used randomized control on pretest-posttest group design. The population of this research was all student of class XII IPA SMAN 3 Kabupaten Tangerang. The sample of this research were two classes, it was XII IPA 4 as experiment class and XII IPA 5 as control class. Simple random sampling used for sampling methods. The research instrument consisted of the objective test, questionnaire affective assessment, psychomotor assessment sheet, and teacher reflection journal. The result showed in cognitive aspect for experiment class was 80, meanwhile 67 from the control class. In affective aspect for experiment class was 81,5, while 81,3 from the control class. In psychomotor aspect of experiment class was 90,48, whereas 81,65 from the control class. The result value of statistics that showed the influence of Science and Technology Society (STM) modules on the concept of biotechnology toward student’s learning outcomes at third grade of senior high school.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan modul pembelajaran berbasis Sains Teknologi dan Masyarakat (STM) pada konsep bioteknologi terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA kelas XII. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) lanjutan pada tahap uji coba skala luas yang menggunakan desain penelitian randomized kontrol group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XII IPA SMAN 3 Kabupaten Tangerang tahun ajaran 2017. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas XII IPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XII IPA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing sebanyak 41 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penerapan modul yaitu tes objektif berupa soal pilihan ganda, angket penilaian afektif, lembar penilaian psikomotorik, dan jurnal refleksi guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan kognitif kelas eksperimen 80 sedangkan kelas kontrol 67. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan afektif kelas eksperimen 85,1 sedangkan kelas kontrol 81,3. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan psikomotorik kelas eksperimen sebesar 90,48 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 81,65. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan modul berbasis STM konsep bioteknologi terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA kelas XII. | |||||||||
