Abstract
The research Was Aimed to find out the effect implementation of PQ4R using concept maps model on learn cognitive of student SMP N 22 Kota Serang. The research was a quasi experimental with randomized control group design only. PQ4R model as independent variable and cognitive ability as dependent variable. The population of research was all student’s of classes VII SMP N 22 Kota Serang lesson year 2017/2018. Thr research sample consisted of two class they are VII A science a experimental class and VII C as an control class. The data collection technique was obyektif test in the form of multiple choice test as much 20 items. The data analysis of cognitive signication result 0,000 < 0,05. It could be concluded that the implamentation of PQ4R to using concept map model affected to student’s learn cognitive ability grade VII at SMP N 22 Kota Serang in concept environmental pollution

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran PQ4R menggunakan peta konsep terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa SMP N 22 Kota Serang pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang menggunakan randomized control group only. Model pembelajaran PQ4R sebagai variabel bebas, kemampuan kognitif siswa sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP N 22 Kota Serang tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII C sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumupulan data menggunakan tes obejktif berupa pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir soal. Analisis data kemampuan kognitif menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test, dengan nilai signifikasi kemampuan kognitif sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh pembelajaran PQ4R menggunakan peta konsep terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa SMP N 22 Kota Serang pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan. | |||||||||
