Abstract
This research aim to determine the influence of talking stick learning model with the picture media toward cognitive abilities in the sub concept of environment pollution at SMP NEGERI 23 Kota Serang. The research method that used is method of quasi experimental. The research design that used is post-test only control group design, that is, there were two groups, which chosen by random sampling. Samples taken are class VII A as experiment class and class VII D as control class. Sampling was done by random sampling. The result of the research showed that the average score of students' cognitive abilities in the experimental class is 68 with good category and control class is 56.4 with enough category. Based on the results of research concluded that there was influence of talking stick learning model with the picture media toward cognitive ability of student at class VII in the concept of environment pollution in SMPN 23 Kota Serang.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran talking stick dengan media gambar terhadap kemampuan kognitif pada subkonsep pencemaran lingkungan di SMP NEGERI 23 KOTA SERANG. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu posttest only control group design, yaitu terdapat dua kelompok yang masingmasing dipilih secara random. Sampel yang diambil yaitu kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai rata-rata kemampuan kognitif siswa pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 68 dengan kategori baik dan kelas control 56.4 dengan kategori cukup. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran talking stick terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas VII pada sub konsep pencemaran lingkungan DI SMPN 23 KOTA SERANG. | |||||||||
