Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of "learning cycle 5e" learning model towards students' cognitive ability of class XI in MA Negeri 4 Pandeglang on the concept of human movement system. This research is an experiment quasi research which used "randomized control group" design. Learning model "learning cycle 5e " as independent variable, students' cognitive ability as dependent variable. The population in the research study is all students of class XI MA Negeri 4 Pandeglang academic year 2016/2017. The sample of this research study consists of two classes, it is class XI IPA 1 as the experiment class and class XI IPA 3 as the control class. Sampling technique is done by used random sampling. Techniques of data collection used posttest to measure students' cognitive abilities and observation sheets for learning implementation. The results of research showed the average score of students' cognitive ability in the experiment class is 80 with very good category. Based on the result of T test on students' cognitive ability, it is obtained a significance value of 0.03 < 0.05 which means H0 is rejected. The results of the reasearch can be concluded that there is influence from "learning cycle 5e learning" model towards cognitive ability of students of class XI at the concept of human movement system in MA Negeri 4 Pandeglang.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran learning cycle 5e terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas XI pada konsep sistem gerak manusia di MA Negeri 4 Pandeglang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang menggunakan desain randomized control group only. Model pembelajaran learning cycle 5e sebagai variabel bebas, kemampuan kognitif siswa sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MA Negeri 4 Pandeglang tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan posttest untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif siswa dan lembar observasi untuk keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan kognitif siswa pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 80 dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil uji T pada kemampuan kognitif diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,03 < 0,05 yang berarti H0 ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran learning cycle 5e terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas XI pada konsep sistem gerak manusia di MA Negeri 4 Pandeglang. | |||||||||
