Abstract

This research was aimed to know students communication ability through the Think Talk Write learning method on ecosystem components subconcept in SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang. The method used was descriptive, with the sample were 34 students of X IPA 1 were taken by simple randome sampling techniques. Data retrieval using the observation sheet the ability to communicate orally and rubric assessment report. Result of the study it can be concluded that the ability to communicate orally obtained average value of 72,54% that is included in good category. While the average value of the ability to communicate in writing is obtained of 69,46% which belongs to the good category. Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berkomunikasi siswa melalui metode pembelajaran Think Talk Write pada subkonsep komponen ekosistem di SMAN 6 Pandeglang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, dan sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas X IPA 1 berjumlah 34 siswa yang di ambil melalui teknik simple random sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi kemampuan berkomunikasi lisan dan rubrik penilaian laporan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berkomunikasi secara lisan memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 72,54% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori baik. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan berkomunikasi secara tulisan diperoleh sebesar 69,46% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori baik.
