Abstract

Mangosteen is a tropical fruit commodity originating from Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar. The macakal mangosteen plant (Garcinia mangostana var. Macakal) is a plant originating from Lebak Regency, Banten Province. This study aims to determine the effect of vitamin B1 and nano zinc fertilizer application through a drip irrigation system on the growth of macakal mangosteen plants. This study was conducted from May to August 2023. It used a factorial randomized block design consisting of two factors. The first factor was vitamin B1 (V) (15 mg/l, 30 mg/l, and 45 mg/l), and the second factor was nano zinc fertilizer (T) (2 ml/l, 4 ml/l, and 6 ml/l). From these two factors, nine treatment combinations were obtained, and each treatment was repeated three times, resulting in 27 experimental units. The responses observed included Plant Height (cm), Stem Diameter (mm), Number of Leaves (pieces), Number of Branches, Leaf Length (cm), Leaf Width (cm), Leaf Length and Width Ratio (cm), and Leaf Greenness Level (chlorophyll units). Based on the results and discussion, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1.) Vitamin B1 through a drip irrigation system has a significant effect on stem diameter and leaf greenness parameters. (2.) Nano zinc fertilizer through a drip irrigation system has a significant effect on plant height and number of leaves parameters. (3.) There is an interaction between vitamin B1 and nano zinc fertilizer through a drip irrigation system on the number of leaves and number of branches parameters.

Additional Information: Manggis merupakan komoditas buah asli tropik yang berasal dari Asia Tenggara meliputi Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand dan Myanmar. Tanaman manggis macakal (Garcinia mangostana var. Macakal) merupakan tanaman yang berasal dari Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian vitamin B1 dan pupuk teknologi nano zinc melalui sistem irigasi tetes terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman manggis macakal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei – Agustus 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu vitamin B1 (V) (15 mg/l, 30 mg/l dan 45 mg/l) serta faktor kedua yaitu pupuk teknologi nano Zn (T) (2 ml/l, 4 ml/l dan 6 ml/l). Dari kedua faktor tersebut maka diperoleh 9 kombinasi perlakuan dan setiap perlakuan dilakukan 3 kali pengulangan sehingga diperoleh 27 unit percobaan. Respon yang diamati meliputi Tinggi Tanaman (cm), Diameter Batang (mm), Jumlah Daun (helai), Jumlah Cabang, Panjang Daun (cm), Lebar Daun (cm), Rasio Panjang dan Lebar Daun (cm), dan Tingkat Kehijauan Daun (unit klorofil). Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1.) Vitamin B1 melalui drip irrigation system memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap parameter diameter batang dan tingkat kehijauan daun. (2.) Pupuk nano zinc melalui drip irrigation system memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman jumlah daun. (3.) Terdapat interaksi antara vitamin B1 dan pupuk nano zinc melalui drip irrigation system terhadap parameter jumlah daun dan jumlah cabang.
