Abstract
The research was aimed to determine the influence of seedbed media on seed germination and the uniformity of shallot seedlings from true seeds and to determine the effect of nutrient watering on the uniformity of shallot seeds from true seeds. The research was conducted from June to August 2024 at the Greenhouse Laboratory, Agroindustry and Biomedicine of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Serpong. The study used the Qualitative Descriptive method and Complete Group Random Design (RAKL) with two factors, namely the medium (m) and the concentration of nutrient solution (p). The results of this study show that Top Soil+ Cocopeat planting medium is proven to be superior for the growth of shallot seeds from seeds. This blend produces the best performance in all aspects as its nutrients create an optimal growing environment. Nutritional needs change as they grow. The concentration of MS 50% provides the best root dry weight at 2 weeks of age (0.0023 g), while MS 100% results in optimal leaf length at 4 weeks of age (12.17 cm). This variation in yield shows the importance of nutrient balance in the early stages of growth. The combination of planting medium and nutrient concentration greatly determines the growth of shallot seedlings. There was an interaction between the combination of planting media treatment and nutrient concentration in the parameters of leaf length (2 MSS), root wet weight (4 MSS), dry weight of roots (2 and 4 MSS) and on chlorophyll-a content WL 663 (8 MSS).

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media persemaian terhadap perkecambahan benih dan keseragaman bibit bawang merah dari benih sejati serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyiraman nutrisi terhadap keseragaman benih bawang merah dari benih sejati. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni hingga Agustus 2024 di Laboratorium Rumah Kaca, Agroindustri dan Biomedis Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) Serpong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Deskriptif Kualitatif dan Complete Group Random Design (RAKL) dengan dua faktor, yaitu media (m) dan konsentrasi larutan nutrisi (p). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media tanam Top Soil+ Cocopeat terbukti unggul untuk pertumbuhan benih bawang merah dari biji. Campuran ini menghasilkan kinerja terbaik dalam semua aspek karena nutrisinya menciptakan lingkungan pertumbuhan yang optimal. Kebutuhan nutrisi berubah seiring pertumbuhannya. Konsentrasi MS 50% memberikan berat kering akar terbaik pada usia 2 minggu (0,0023 g), sedangkan MS 100% menghasilkan panjang daun yang optimal pada usia 4 minggu (12,17 cm). Variasi hasil panen ini menunjukkan pentingnya keseimbangan nutrisi pada tahap awal pertumbuhan. Kombinasi media tanam dan konsentrasi nutrisi sangat menentukan pertumbuhan bibit bawang merah. Terdapat interaksi antara kombinasi perlakuan media tanam dan konsentrasi unsur hara pada parameter panjang daun (2 MSS), berat basah akar (4 MSS), berat kering akar (2 dan 4 MSS) dan kandungan klorofil-a WL 663 (8 MSS). | ||||||||||||
