Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the production of Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag, experienced a discrepancy of around 10% in production results that were not always proportional to the level of raw material usage. This study aims to measure the productivity level of the Operations Department of PT. XYZ and provide appropriate recommendations for improvement. Measurements using the OMAX method conducted over a 12-month period showed periods of increased performance index, namely March at 57%, April at 25%, May at 77%, June at 12%, July at 32%, August at 103%, September at 73%, and October at 163%. Meanwhile, the periods that experienced a decline in the performance index were January at -28%, February at -37%, November at -27%, and December at -48%. The measurement results are visualized using the Traffic Light System to produce the main priority for improvement, namely the ratio of production output to operating time. Fishbone Diagram analysis determines the root causes of the problem, namely the absence of a monitoring schedule procedure, inconsistent machine maintenance schedules, old machine age, the absence of a production target reporting meeting procedure, the unavailability of material size separation tools, and the unavailability of earplugs for operators. The 5W+1H method provides recommendations for improvement, namely performing machine maintenance twice a month, replacing components in old machines, creating inspection and monthly meeting procedures, and providing raw material size separation tools and earplugs.

XYZ sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang produksi Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag mengalami ketidaksesuaian sekitar 10% pada hasil produksi yang tidak selalu sebanding dengan tingkat pemakaian bahan baku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat produktivitas Departemen Operasi PT. XYZ serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan yang tepat. Pengukuran dengan metode OMAX yang dilakukan selama 12 bulan menghasilkan periode yang mengalami peningkatan indeks performansi yaitu bulan Maret sebesar 57%, April sebesar 25%, Mei sebesar 77%, Juni sebesar 12%, Juli sebesar 32%, Agustus sebesar 103%, September sebesar 73%, dan Oktober sebesar 163%. Sedangkan periode yang mengalami penurunan indeks performansi yaitu bulan Januari sebesar -28%, Februari sebesar -37%, November sebesar -27%, dan Desember sebesar -48%. Hasil pengukuran divisualisasikan menggunakan Traffic Light System untuk menghasilkan prioritas utama perbaikan yaitu rasio hasil produksi terhadap waktu operasi. Analisis Fishbone Diagram menentukan akar permasalahan yaitu tidak adanya prosedur jadwal pengawasan, jadwal perawatan mesin yang tidak konsisten, umur mesin sudah tua, tidak adanya prosedur rapat penyampaian target produksi, tidak tersedianya alat pemisahan ukuran material, dan tidak disediakannya earplug bagi operator. Metode 5W+1H memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan yaitu melakukan perawatan mesin dua kali sebulan, penggantian komponen pada mesin yang sudah tua, membuat prosedur inspeksi dan rapat bulanan, serta menyediakan alat pemisahan ukuran bahan baku dan earplug.
