Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan literasi matematis siswa kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah Cilegon. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 14 siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan hasil tes literasi matematis. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes literasi berbasis PISA dan wawancara semi-terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada pada kategori sedang. Aspek penggunaan konsep matematika paling dikuasai, sementara aspek interpretasi solusi merupakan yang paling lemah. Wawancara mengungkapkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi memiliki strategi belajar yang lebih baik dan dapat menghubungkan matematika dengan kehidupan nyata. Additional Information: This study aims to describe the mathematical literacy profile of 11th-grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah Cilegon. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects consisted of 14 students selected based on mathematical literacy test results. The instruments used included a PISA-based literacy test and semi-structured interviews. The results revealed that most students were at the intermediate level. The most mastered aspect was the use of mathematical concepts, while the interpretation of solutions was the weakest. Interviews showed that highachieving students had better learning strategies and could connect mathematics to real life. This study recommends the implementation of contextual learning to improve students’ mathematical literacy.
