Abstract
Nurse scheduling is an important aspect in ensuring smooth hospital operations. This study aims to design a mathematical model for nurse scheduling to minimize the number of nurses while optimizing performance-based scheduling in the adult inpatient unit of XYZ Hospital. The main problem faced is that nurse scheduling is still done manually, resulting in suboptimal utilization of labor, shift distribution, and workload distribution. The method used is a quantitative approach with integer linear programming (ILP) modeling solved using Lingo software with the Branch and Bound method. The model was developed by considering hospital policies, employment regulations, the number of nurses required for each shift, and nurse performance values. The results of the study show that the proposed model is capable of producing optimal scheduling with fewer nurses than the actual schedule and previous studies, without violating any of the applicable constraints. The number of nurses can be minimized from 22 to 20 with an increase in the scheduling objective function value. Thus, this model has been proven to improve the efficiency of nurse utilization and produce a more equitable and proportional schedule.

| Additional Information: | Penjadwalan perawat merupakan aspek penting dalam menjamin kelancaran operasional rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model matematika penjadwalan perawat guna meminimasi jumlah perawat sekaligus mengoptimalkan penjadwalan berbasis kinerja pada unit rawat inap dewasa Rumah Sakit XYZ. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah penjadwalan perawat yang masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga belum optimal dalam pemanfaatan tenaga kerja, pembagian shift, dan pemerataan beban kerja. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pemodelan Integer linear programming (ILP) yang diselesaikan menggunakan software Lingo dengan metode Branch and Bound. Model dikembangkan dengan mempertimbangkan kebijakan rumah sakit, aturan ketenagakerjaan, kebutuhan jumlah perawat setiap shift, serta nilai kinerja perawat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model yang diusulkan mampu menghasilkan penjadwalan yang optimal dengan jumlah perawat yang lebih sedikit dibandingkan jadwal aktual dan penelitian terdahulu, tanpa melanggar seluruh batasan yang berlaku. Jumlah perawat dapat diminimasi dari 22 orang menjadi 20 orang dengan peningkatan nilai fungsi tujuan penjadwalan. Dengan demikian, model ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan tenaga perawat dan menghasilkan penjadwalan yang lebih adil dan proporsional. | ||||||
