Abstract
The rapid development of technology has brought positive impacts to the field of education, including the advancement of digital learning media. However, this development is also accompanied by negative effects, such as the tendency of children to use gadgets for non-educational activities, especially playing games. On the other hand, the quality of mathematics learning in Indonesia still faces challenges, as indicated by the low scores obtained in the PISA assessment. Problems related to mathematics learning were also found at SDIT Al-Hanif in the topics of fractions and three-dimensional shapes, caused by insufficient mastery of basic concepts and low visualization ability. This study developed Slice and Shape, an interactive Android-based educational game using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method, with the integration of Augmented Reality for visualizing basic three-dimensional shapes. The validity test conducted by five mathematics teachers obtained an average score of 94% (very valid), while the interactivity assessment by students showed very positive responses. Learning effectiveness was analyzed using N-Gain, producing a value of 0.42 (moderate yet effective category), with an increase in scores from 44.60 (pre-test) to 64.21 (post-test). The results of this study indicate that the Slice and Shape game is valid, interactive, and effective, making it suitable to be used as an alternative learning media for the topics of fractions and three-dimensional shapes.
