Abstract

Implementation of the Flipped Classroom Model Assisted by Instructional Videos on Senior High School Students’ Understanding of Mathematical Concepts. Thesis, Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, 2026. This study aims to determine the significant positive effect of implementing flipped classroom learning with the assistance of instructional videos on senior high school students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. The method used was a quasi-experimental design employing the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 6 Kota Serang, who were divided into two groups: a control group and an experimental group. The research instrument was an essay test consisting of seven questions designed to measure students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant difference between the posttest results of students taught using the flipped classroom learning model with the assistance of instructional videos and those taught using conventional methods. Statistical tests using the Independent Sample t-Test showed a significance result of less than 0.05, which means that the application of the flipped classroom learning model with the help of learning videos on students' understanding of mathematical concepts is better than learning using conventional methods. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 6 Kota Serang, yang di bagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes essai yang terdiri dari 7 butir soal untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil posttest siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran flipped classroom dengan bantuan video pembelajaran dibandingkan dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan metode konvensional. Uji statistik menggunakan Independent Sample t-Test menunjukkan hasil signifikansi kurang dari 0,05 yang berarti bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran flipped classroom dengan bantuan video pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran menggunakan metode konvensional.
