Abstract

This study focuses on the role of the Walijamaliha Dance in enhancing adolescents’ self-confidence at Sanggar Raksa Budaya in Serang City. Adolescence is a crucial stage of identity formation that is often marked by fluctuating levels of self-confidence, making it important to provide learning media that support emotional and character development. Using a descriptive qualitative method through observation, interviews, and documentation, the study found that the movements in the Walijamaliha Dance help increase body awareness, promote relaxation, and foster performance confidence and cooperation. These findings indicate that traditional dance not only serves as a form of cultural expression but also functions as a medium for strengthening character and self-confidence within non-formal arts education.
