Abstract
The question “why do men like men?” is often asked of K-Pop fanboys regarding their romantic preferences. In many articles discussing K-Pop fanboys, it is often mentioned that they are often suspected of being homosexual, feminine, or effeminate. This study aims to examine the self-image and experiences of fanboys who are victims of sexual violence. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. This study has 3 main informants and 3 significant others, who were selected through purposive sampling. Information was collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using the data analysis method by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. This study reveals that male fans have a negative self-image and no academic impact, but even though the informants did not report a direct decline in academic achievement, experiences of sexual violence can cause psychological barriers such as anxiety and decreased self-confidence. This study provides insights for the general public and guidance and counseling teachers who aim to increase empathy and provide an overview of male victims of sexual violence, so that they can design appropriate guidance and counseling services.

| Additional Information: | Pertanyaan “mengapa laki-laki menyukai laki-laki?” adalah salah satu pertanyaan yang sering ditanyakan kepada para fanboy K-Pop tentang orientasi romantis mereka. Dalam beberapa artikel mengenai fanboy K-Pop, mencatat mereka rentan terhadap tuduhan sebagai homoseksual, banci, atau effeminate. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana citra diri dan pengalaman fanboy sebagai korban kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini menggunakan meotde penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 orang informan utama dan 3 orang significant oders yang didapatkan dari teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur dengan teknik analisis dara dari Milies Huberman dan Saldana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan fanboy memiliki citra diri yang negatif dan tidak ada dampak akademik, tetapi sekalipun informan tidak melaporkan penurunan langsung dalam prestasi akademik, pengalaman kekerasan seksual dapat menyebabkan hambatan psikologis seperti kecemasan dan penurunan kepercayaan diri. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi masyarakat umum dan guru bimbingan dan konseling yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan rasa empati dan memberikan gambaran korban laki-laki yang mengalami kekerasan seksual, sehingga dapat merancang layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang sesuai. | |||||||||
