Abstract

The quality and condition of aquarium water are important things to consider in keeping fish, especially ornamental fish. Many ornamental fish keepers still ignore the water condition and still change the aquarium water manually. This takes a lot of time and energy. To simplify and speed up the process of changing the water, a tool is needed that can change the water automatically. This study aims to create monitoring system for pH, temperature, and turbidity, as well as an automatic water replacement for guppy fish aquarium. This tool is made using four sensors: a pH sensor to measure pH values, a temperature sensor to measure water temperature, a turbidity sensor to measure water turbidity levels, and an ultrasonic sensor to read the water level when draining and refilling water. ESP-32 is used as the main controller, a water pump to remove turbid water and fill the aquarium with clean water, and a relay as a trigger on the water pump. The water turbidity value and water condition status are displayed via LCD, and LED as a water status indicator. Data were collected daily over a period of one month. During this period, automatic water replacement occurred once. The system is capable of detecting water turbidity ranging from 0 to 3000 NTU, water temperature between 25 and 28°C, pH values ranging from 7.6 to 8.3, and water level distances from 5 to 25 cm. The system automatically drains the water when turbidity exceeds 500 NTU. Fish growth was observed from 0 to 2 months of age under healthy conditions, becoming stable at three weeks of age, with a mortality rate of 63.64%.

Additional Information: Kualitas dan kondisi air akuarium merupakan hal yang penting untuk diperhatikan dalam memelihara ikan terutama ikan hias. Banyak pemelihara ikan hias yang masih mengabaikan kondisi air dan masih melakukan penggantian air akuarium secara manual. Hal tersebut memakan banyak waktu dan tenaga. Adanya alat yang dapat mengganti air secara otomatis dapat mempermudah dan mempercepat proses penggantian air tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat alat monitoring pH, suhu, dan kekeruhan serta penggantian air otomatis akuarium ikan guppy. Alat ini dibuat dengan menggunakan empat sensor yaitu sensor pH untuk mengukur nilai pH, sensor suhu untuk mengukur suhu air, sensor turbidity untuk mengukur tingkat kekeruhan air, dan sensor ultrasonik untuk membaca ketinggian air saat melakukan pengurasan dan pengisian air. ESP-32 digunakan sebagai pengendali utama, pompa air untuk membuang air keruh dan mengisi air bersih, dan relay sebagai trigger pada pompa air. Nilai kekeruhan air dan status kondisi air ditampilkan melalui LCD, serta LED sebagai indikator status air. Pengambilan data dilakukan setiap hari selama satu bulan. Dalam satu bulan, terjadi penggantian air secara otomatis sebanyak satu kali. Alat dapat mendeteksi kekeruhan air dari 0 hingga 3000 NTU dan terukur pada 25 s.d. 28°C, pH terukur pada nilai 7,6 s.d. 8,3, serta dapat mendeteksi jarak air 5 s.d. 25 cm. Alat ini dapat menguras air ketika sudah terdeksi >500 NTU. Pertumbuhan ikan dapat diamati dari usia 0 sampai 2 bulan dengan kondisi sehat, mulai stabil pada usia 3 minggu dengan tingkat kematian 63,64%.
