Abstract

The use and development of rooftop solar power plants (PLTS) on campus is one of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University's efforts to support the energy transition towards Net Zero Emissions. Rooftop solar power plants with a capacity equivalent to 0.5 MWp have been installed on four faculty buildings. PVsyst is a solar power plant simulation software used to compare performance metrics such as performance ratio and efficiency of the solar power plant with manual calculations. The analysis results show that all PLTS systems on campus perform well. The PLTS system in the FISIP building achieved an efficiency of 17.95% and a performance ratio of 86.3% in manual calculations and 20.91% and 84.7% in PVsyst simulations. In the FAPERTA building, the efficiency and performance ratio in manual calculations were 17.47% and 83%, respectively, with simulations of 21.05% and 81.9%. The FH building achieved an efficiency and performance ratio in manual calculations of 18.56% and 88.16%, respectively, and in simulations of 21.05% and 81.6%. The FEB building achieved an efficiency of 18.64% and a performance ratio of 88.56%, with simulations of 21.05% and 81%. These data show that the PLTS system performed optimally during the research period. The Load characteristics in campus buildings fluctuate daily, with a significant increase at 8:00 a.m., peaking between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and decreasing after 5:00 p.m. Furthermore, the solar power system has a significant impact on electricity savings, with an energy saving efficiency of 42.73% over 5 working days and up to 55.82% of the total campus electricity consumption in one month.

Additional Information: Pengunaan dan pengembangan Pembangkit listrik tenaga Surya (PLTS) tipe Rooftop dilingkungan kampus merupakan salah satu upaya keikutsertaan Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa dalam mendukung transisi energi menuju Net Zero Emision. PLTS rooftop berkapasitas setara 0,5 MWp pada 4 Gedung fakultas telah terpasang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa semua sistem PLTS di kampus menunjukkan kinerja yang baik. Sistem PLTS di gedung FISIP mencapai efisiensi sebesar 17,95% dan rasio performa sebesar 86,3% pada perhitungan manual serta 20,91% dan 84,7% pada simulasi PVsyst. Di gedung FAPERTA, efisiensi dan rasio performa pada perhitungan manual masing-masing adalah 17,47% dan 83%, dengan simulasi sebesar 21,05% dan 81,9%. Gedung FH mencapai efisiensi dan rasio performa pada perhitungan manual masing-masing sebesar 18,56% dan 88,16%, dan simulasi sebesar 21,05% dan 81,6%. Karakteristik beban di gedung-gedung kampus mengalami fluktuasi harian, dengan peningkatan signifikan pada pukul 08.00, puncak antara pukul 12.00 dan 15.00, dan penurunan setelah pukul 17.00. Lebih lanjut, sistem PLTS berdampak signifikan terhadap penghematan listrik, dengan efisiensi penghematan energi sebesar 42,73% selama 5 hari kerja dan 55,82% dari total konsumsi listrik kampus dalam satu bulan.
