Abstract
Formal education is the most effective means to facilitate the development of 21st-century skills (Redhana, 2019). Science learning practices in the field, especially chemistry, still emphasize memorization of concepts, theories, and principles, rather than involving students in the scientific inquiry process, which results in students being passive. Therefore, learning needs to be shifted from teacher-led teaching to student-led teaching so that the STEM-based 9E Learning Cycle model is appropriate for use. This study aims to determine the differences before and after the implementation of the STEM-based 9E Learning Cycle learning model in stimulating students' 4C Skills on the topic of thermochemistry. This type of research is a quantitative pre-experimental with a pretest-posttest one group design. The sample used in this study were 37 students of grade XI-6 SMAN 1 Pandeglang who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments included teaching modules, LKPD, test questions, and observation sheets. The research data were analyzed descriptively using Microsoft Excel and inferential analysis using SPSS 27.0. The results of the study showed a significant difference after the implementation of the STEM-based Learning Cycle 9E learning model, as evidenced by a sig. (2-tailed) value <0.001, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Furthermore, the decision was also strengthened by a 10% increase in the average test score, and based on the results of the non-test sheet, it was obtained that critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity skills were 90.7%, 93%, 85.9%, and 88.3% of students, respectively, demonstrated 4C skills with the "very good" category.

| Additional Information: | Pendidikan formal menjadi sarana paling efektif untuk memfasilitasi pengembangan keterampilan abad ke-21 (Redhana, 2019). Praktik pembelajaran sains di lapangan khususnya kimia masih menekankan penghafalan konsep, teori, dan prinsip, dibanding melibatkan peserta didik dalam proses penyelidikan ilmiah yang mengakibatkan siswa bersifat pasif. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran perlu digeser dari teacher-led teaching menjadi student-led teaching sehingga model Learning Cycle 9E berbasis STEM tepat untuk digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan sebelum dan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 9E berbasis STEM dalam menstimulasi 4C Skills siswa pada topik termokimia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif pre-experimental dengan pretest-posttest one group design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni 37 siswa kelas XI-6 SMAN 1 Pandeglang yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian meliputi modul ajar, LKPD, soal tes, dan lembar observasi. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan Microsoft Excel dan analisis inferensial menggunakan SPSS 27.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 9E berbasis STEM yang dibuktikan dengan nilai sig.(2-tailed) <0,001 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Selain itu, keputusan juga diperkuat dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata soal tes sebesar 10%, dan berdasarkan hasil lembar non tes diperoleh keterampilan critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity secara berturut-turut sebesar 90,7%, 93%, 85,9%, 88,3% siswa menunjukkan keterampilan 4C dengan kategori “sangat baik”. | |||||||||
