Abstract
The widespread spread of misinformation and hoaxes at the local level demands that regional media outlets carry out their verification functions more stringently. This study aims to determine how Banten TV implements fact-checking journalism in its news production process, from understanding the context of claims, gathering evidence, assessing the credibility of sources, to maintaining the principle of neutrality. The theory used is McQuail's Theory of Social Responsibility. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The results show that Banten TV's fact-checking process is carried out through daily editorial meetings, data verification by editors, cross-confirmation with credible sources, and neutral editing of scripts. Banten TV also delays broadcasting news if there is only one source, as an effort to maintain balance. Journalism, Fact Checking, Local Media, Banten TV, Hoax.

| Additional Information: | Maraknya penyebaran misinformasi dan hoaks pada tingkat lokal menuntut media daerah untuk menjalankan fungsi verifikasi secara lebih ketat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana Banten TV menerapkan jurnalisme cek fakta dalam proses produksi berita, mulai dari pemahaman konteks klaim, pengumpulan bukti, penilaian kredibilitas narasumber, hingga menjaga prinsip netralitas. Teori yang digunakan adalah Teori Tanggung Jawab Sosial McQuail. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses cek fakta Banten TV dilakukan melalui rapat redaksi harian, verifikasi data oleh redaktur, konfirmasi silang dengan narasumber kredibel, dan penyuntingan naskah yang netral.
