Abstract
Fadilah: Development of Analog Electronics Training Based on Starter Kit. Thesis. Banten: Vocational Education of Electrical Engineering FKIP Untirta, 2025. This research is motivated by the results of pre-field research indicating that vocational high school students experience difficulties in understanding basic electronics concepts, both in theory and practice. This condition is exacerbated by teacher-centered learning methods, resulting in students lacking independence and active involvement in the learning process. Based on these problems, this study aims to: (1) develop starter kit-based analog electronics training as a practical learning medium, (2) determine the suitability of the starter kit as a learning medium based on assessments by media and material experts, and (3) determine user responses to the implementation of starter kit based analog electronics training. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The products developed are analog electronics starter kit learning media and job sheets as practice guides. Data collection was conducted through literature review, questionnaire distribution, and documentation. The feasibility test involved three expert validators (media experts and material experts), while a trial use was conducted with 19 training participants from the electronics engineering field. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. The results showed that the analog electronics starter kit obtained an average score of 81.3 with a score range of x ≥ 69, which falls into the "Very Suitable" category as a learning medium. The assessment of the learning materials also showed a "Very Suitable" category with an average score of 37.3 with a score range of x ≥ 30. Furthermore, participant responses to the training obtained an average score of 56.4 with a score range of x ≥ 45, which also falls into the "Very Suitable" category. Based on these results, the starter kit-based analog electronics training was declared suitable for use as a learning medium, as it improved conceptual understanding and practical skills, and provided a more interactive and independent learning experience. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil pra-penelitian di lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik di tingkat SMK mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi konsep dasar elektronika, baik secara teori maupun praktik. Kondisi tersebut diperburuk dengan metode pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru, sehingga peserta didik kurang memiliki kemandirian dan keterlibatan aktif dalam proses belajar. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan pelatihan elektronika analog berbasis starter kit sebagai media pembelajaran praktis, (2) mengetahui tingkat kelayakan starter kit sebagai media pembelajaran ditinjau dari penilaian ahli media dan ahli materi, serta (3) mengetahui respon pengguna terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan elektronika analog berbasis starter kit. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahapan, yaitu Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa media pembelajaran starter kit elektronika analog dan jobsheet sebagai panduan praktik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka, penyebaran angket, dan dokumentasi. Uji kelayakan melibatkan tiga validator ahli (ahli media dan ahli materi), sedangkan uji coba penggunaan dilakukan kepada 19 peserta pelatihan yang berasal dari bidang teknik elektronika. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa starter kit elektronika analog memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 81,3 dengan rentang skor x ≥ 69, yang termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak” sebagai media pembelajaran. Penilaian terhadap materi pembelajaran juga menunjukkan kategori “Sangat Layak” dengan skor rata-rata 37,3 dan rentang skor x ≥ 30. Selain itu, hasil respon peserta terhadap pelatihan memperoleh skor rata-rata 56,4 dengan rentang skor x ≥ 45, yang juga termasuk kategori “Sangat Layak”. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, pelatihan elektronika analog berbasis starter kit dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran, karena mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, keterampilan praktik, serta memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan mandiri.
