Abstract
ABSTRAK PENGARUH OLAH TUBUH TERHADAP UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS GERAK TARI SISWA PADA EKSTRAKURIKULER SENI TARI MAN 1 CILEGON Oleh: Tamara Tazkiyah 2289210051 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan pelaksanaan olah tubuh serta menganalisis pengaruh latihan olah tubuh terhadap peningkatan kualitas gerak tari siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Seni Tari di MAN 1 Cilegon. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest–posttest design. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 12 siswa yang aktif mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler tari. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar penilaian kualitas gerak tari yang berlandaskan teori wiraga, wirama, dan wirasa menurut Supriyanto dan Suharji serta Laksmi dkk., yang mencakup unsur-unsur penting dalam tari. Pelaksanaan latihan olah tubuh didasarkan pada teori Widiasih (2013) yang meliputi empat tahapan utama, yaitu pemanasan, latihan inti, pendinginan, dan pernapasan. Kegiatan olah tubuh dilaksanakan selama enam kali pertemuan dengan durasi sekitar 60 menit pada setiap sesi. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa latihan olah tubuh memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas gerak tari siswa dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa latihan olah tubuh mampu meningkatkan kekuatan, kelenturan, keseimbangan, koordinasi, serta penghayatan dan ekspresi siswa dalam menari. Dengan demikian, olah tubuh berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kesiapan fisik, kesadaran tubuh, dan kualitas ekspresi seni siswa dalam pembelajaran tari di lingkungan sekolah menengah atas. Kata kunci: olah tubuh, kualitas gerak tari, siswa MAN 1 Cilegon ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF BODY TRAINING ON IMPROVING THE DANCE MOVEMENT QUALITY OF STUDENTS IN THE DANCE EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAM AT MAN 1 CILEGON By: Tamara Tazkiyah 2289210051 This study aims to describe the stages of body conditioning exercises and to analyze the effect of body conditioning training on improving students’ dance movement quality in the extracurricular Dance program at MAN 1 Cilegon. This research employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 12 students who actively participated in the dance extracurricular activity. The research instrument was a dance movement quality assessment sheet based on the concepts of wiraga, wirama, and wirasa proposed by Supriyanto and Suharji as well as Laksmi et al., which encompass essential elements required in dance performance. The implementation of body conditioning exercises was based on Widiasih’s theory (2013), which includes four main stages: warm-up, core exercises, cool-down, and breathing exercises. The training was conducted over six sessions, each lasting approximately 60 minutes. The data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to determine differences between pretest and posttest scores. The results showed that body conditioning training had a significant effect on improving students’ dance movement quality, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that regular body conditioning exercises can enhance students’ strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and expressive ability in dancing. Therefore, body conditioning plays an important role in improving students’ physical readiness, body awareness, and the development of artistic expression in dance learning.
