Abstract
Background : Level of knowledge and prevention behavior of gastritis in students is one of the inhibitory factors in controlling gastritis disease. Bingo game-based education can be an effective effort to improve preventive knowledge and behavior in decreasing gastritis prevalence. Objective : To determine the effect of bingo game-based education on students' gastritis prevention knowledge and behavior at SMAN 5 Cilegon City. Method : Pre-experimental quantitative research using the one group pretest-posttest approach. The study’s population was 792 students. The sampling method used was probability sampling with a simple random sampling technique with a sample 94 respondents. The instruments using bingo game activity guide, observation sheet, and two pretest and posttest questionnaires. Data analysis uses Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results : Respondents to this study were generally early teens (15-17 years old) with the majority of woman. The level of knowledge and prevention behavior of gastritis increased after the bingo game-based educational intervention, wich was previously in the moderate category became a good category. Conclusion : Bingo game-based education has an effect on improving students’ gastritis knowledge and prevention behavior at SMAN 5 Cilegon City (p value of 0,000 ).

| Additional Information: | Latar belakang : Tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku pencegahan gastritis pada siswa menjadi salah satu faktor penghambat dalam pengendalian penyakit gastritis. Edukasi berbasis bingo game dapat menjadi upaya efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku pencegahan dalam menurunkan prevalensi gastritis. Tujuan : Mengetahui pengaruh edukasi berbasis bingo game terhadap pengetahuan dan perilaku pencegahan gastritis siswa di SMAN 5 Kota Cilegon. Metode : Penelitian kuantitatif pre-experimental dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 792 siswa. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling dengan sampel 94 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah panduan kegiatan bingo game, lembar observasi, serta dua kuesioner pretest dan posttest. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil : Responden penelitian ini pada umumnya adalah remaja awal (15-17 tahun) dengan mayoritas berjenis kelamin perempuan. Sebagian besar berasal dari kelas XII dan sebagian besar tidak pernah mengalami gastritis. Tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku pencegahan gastritis meningkat setelah diberikan intervensi edukasi berbasis bingo game yang sebelumnya berada pada kategori sedang menjadi kategori baik. Kesimpulan : Edukasi berbasis bingo game berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan perilaku pencegahan gastritis siswa di SMAN 5 Kota Cilegon (p value 0,000). | |||||||||
