Abstract

This study aims to describe the working postures and physical workload of workshop operators at PT Duta Intan Metalindo and PT Asokawaja Wisesa during metalworking activities using lathe, milling, and welding machines. A quantitative approach was applied to assess Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) complaints using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire, evaluate working postures based on SNI 9011:2021, and analyze physical workload using the Cardio Vascular Load (CVL) method. Primary data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving 14 male operators aged 21–57 years with work experience ranging from 1 to 13 years. The results showed that the highest musculoskeletal complaints experienced by operators in both workshops occurred in the lower back, with total scores of 17 and 29. Other high-frequency complaints were reported in the upper neck, back, both calves, and right wrist. During their work, operators were exposed to various ergonomic risk factors such as neck flexion >20°, back bending between 20°–45°, unsupported shoulders or elbows, and prolonged standing or squatting postures. The average %CVL value of operators at PT Duta Intan Metalindo was 34,26%, indicating the " requires improvement" category, while the average %CVL at PT Asokawaja Wisesa was 29,81%, categorized as "no fatigue occurred."

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran postur kerja dan beban kerja fisik pada operator workshop PT Duta Intan Metalindo dan PT Asokawaja Wisesa saat melakukan pengerjaan logam pada mesin bubut, milling, dan las. Pendekatan kuantitatif diaplikasikan dalam penelitian ini untuk menilai keluhan Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) melalui kuesioner Nordic Body Map (NBM), penilaian postur kerja berdasarkan SNI 9011:2021, serta penilaian beban kerja fisik menggunakan metode Cardio Vascular Load (CVL). Data primer diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan pengisian kuesioner terhadap 14 operator laki-laki berusia 21–57 tahun dengan rentang masa kerja operator selama 1–13 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keluhan musculoskeletal tertinggi yang dialami para operator di kedua workshop pada bagian pinggang dengan masing-masing total skor sebesar 17 dan 29. Selain itu, keluhan tinggi lainnya yang dirasakan para operator diantaranya leher bagian atas, punggung, pergelangan tangan kanan, betis kiri dan kanan. Para operator selama bekerja mengalami paparan potensi bahaya ergonomi, seperti leher menekuk >20°, punggung membungkuk 20°–45°, bahu lengan atau siku yang tidak ditopang, serta berdiri atau jongkok dalam waktu lama. Nilai rata-rata %CVL para operator di workshop PT Duta Intan Metalindo sebesar 34,26% termasuk kategori “diperlukan perbaikan”, sedangkan workshop PT Asokawaja Wisesa sebesar 29,81% termasuk kategori “tidak terjadi kelelahan”.
