Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Guided Inquiry yang dipadukan dengan metode praktikum dalam peningkatan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) peserta didik pada materi Fluida Statis. Pengembangan KPS difokuskan pada kemampuan melakukan pengamatan, menyusun hipotesis, melaksanakan eksperimen, menginterpretasikan data, serta menarik kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas XI MIPA yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan pembelajaran Guided Inquiry berbantu praktikum, serta kelas kontrol yang belajar menggunakan metode konvensional. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan KPS yang lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Peningkatan tersebut paling menonjol pada kemampuan berpikir kritis serta keterampilan memecahkan masalah melalui kegiatan praktikum, terutama pada materi tekanan hidrostatis dan Hukum Pascal. Temuan penelitian menegaskan bahwa integrasi Guided Inquiry dan praktikum efektif dalam memperkuat pemahaman konsep dan mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran fisika yang lebih aktif dan bermakna.

| Additional Information: | This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the Guided Inquiry learning model combined with practical activities in enhancing students’ Science Process Skills (SPS) on Static Fluids. The SPS developed in this study include observation, hypothesis development, experiment execution, data interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The study applied a quasi-experimental approach using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The participants were 11th-grade MIPA students divided into two groups: an experimental class that received Guided Inquiry learning supported by practicum activities, and a control class that experienced conventional instruction. The analysis results indicate that the experimental class achieved a greater improvement in SPS compared to the control class. The most significant progress was found in critical thinking and problemsolving skills fostered through practicum activities, particularly in topics related to hydrostatic pressure and Pascal’s Law. These findings affirm that integrating the Guided Inquiry model with practicum activities is effective in strengthening students’ conceptual understanding and improving their science process skills. Consequently, this instructional approach is recommended as a constructive alternative for creating active and meaningful physics learning experiences. | |||||||||
