Abstract
Red amaranth (Amaranthus tricolor L.) is one of the introduced horticultural crops that has recently gained attention in Indonesia. However, its production in the country has experienced a decline between 2020 and 2022. This reduction is thought to be caused by low soil nutrient levels. Therefore, efforts to enhance yield are necessary, particularly through the use of fertilizers and plant growth regulators (PGR) to improve nutrient availability for red amaranth cultivation. This study aimed to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer dosage and gibberellin (GA3) concentration, as well as their interaction, on the growth and yield of red amaranth. The experiment was arranged in a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor was the dosage of NPK Mutiara (16:16:16) at four levels: 0, 200, 250, and 300 kg/ha, while the second factor was GA3 concentration at four levels: 0, 150, 200, and 250 ppm, resulting in 16 treatment combinations with three replications. The results showed that an NPK dosage of 200 kg/ha produced the best plant height at 14, 21, 28, and 35 days after transplanting (DAT) with values of 6.78 cm, 10.90 cm, 16.45 cm, and 21.10 cm, respectively, and the highest number of leaves (9.92 leaves). Meanwhile, 250 kg/ha produced the highest fresh weight (2.51 g). Application of GA3 at 250 ppm increased plant height at 21 and 35 DAT (11.42 cm and 22.13 cm), GA3 at 200 ppm produced the highest number of leaves (10.00 leaves), and GA3 at 150 ppm resulted in the longest root length (9.41 cm). An interaction was observed between 300 kg/ha NPK and 150 ppm GA3, producing the highest average root length of 12.23 cm at 35 DAT.

| Additional Information: | Bayam merah (Amaranthus tricolor L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman hortikultura introduksi yang akhir-akhir ini mendapat perhatian di Indonesia. Namun, produksinya di Indonesia mengalami penurunan pada periode 2020 hingga 2022. Penurunan ini diduga disebabkan oleh rendahnya tingkat kesuburan tanah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi, khususnya melalui penggunaan pupuk dan zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) guna meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur hara bagi budidaya bayam merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk NPK dan konsentrasi giberelin (GA3), serta interaksi keduanya, terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bayam merah. Percobaan disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk NPK Mutiara (16:16:16) yang terdiri atas empat taraf, yaitu 0, 200, 250, dan 300 kg/ha. Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi GA3 yang terdiri atas empat taraf, yaitu 0, 150, 200, dan 250 ppm. Kombinasi perlakuan berjumlah 16 dengan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis pupuk NPK 200 kg/ha menghasilkan tinggi tanaman terbaik pada umur 14, 21, 28, dan 35 hari setelah pindah tanam (HSPT), masing-masing sebesar 6,78 cm, 10,90 cm, 16,45 cm, dan 21,10 cm, serta jumlah daun tertinggi (9,92 helai). Sementara itu, dosis 250 kg/ha menghasilkan bobot segar tertinggi (2,51 g). Aplikasi GA3 dengan konsentrasi 250 ppm meningkatkan tinggi tanaman pada umur 21 dan 35 HSPT (masing-masing 11,42 cm dan 22,13 cm), GA3 200 ppm menghasilkan jumlah daun tertinggi (10,00 helai), dan GA3 150 ppm menghasilkan panjang akar terpanjang (9,41 cm). Terdapat interaksi antara dosis NPK 300 kg/ha dan GA3 150 ppm yang menghasilkan rata-rata panjang akar tertinggi, yaitu 12,23 cm pada umur 35 HSPT. | ||||||||||||
