Abstract

Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a vegetable from the Solanaceae family which is rich in vitamin A, phosphorus and anthocyanins as natural antioxidants. Eggplant production in Banten Province has decreased in the last three years due to low productivity and declining soil fertility. This research aims to determine the effect of liquid biological fertilizer and trichoderma on the growth and yield of purple eggplant plants. The research was carried out at the Integrated Agricultural System (Sitandu), Serang City, Banten, in December 2024–March 2025, using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors: dosage of liquid biofertilizer (0, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 ml/l) and trichoderma (0, 5, and 10 g/polybag). The research results showed that the application of liquid biofertilizer and trichoderma had no significant effect on plant growth and yield, although a dosege of 8–9 ml/l liquid biofertilizer and 5 g/polybag of trichoderma gave the best average results in several parameters. No real interaction was found between the two treatments for all observed parameters.

Additional Information: Terong ungu (Solanum melongena L.) merupakan salah satu jenis sayuran dari famili Solanaceae yang kaya akan vitamin A, fosfor, dan antosianin sebagai antioksidan alami. Produksi terong di Provinsi Banten mengalami penurunan dalam tiga tahun terakhir akibat rendahnya produktivitas dan menurunnya kesuburan tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk hayati cair dan Trichoderma terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terong ungu. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Sistem Pertanian Terpadu (Sitandu), Kota Serang, Banten, pada bulan Desember 2024–Maret 2025, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan dua faktor, yaitu dosis pupuk hayati cair (0, 5, 6, 7, 8, dan 9 ml/l) dan Trichoderma (0, 5, dan 10 g/polybag). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk hayati cair dan Trichoderma tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman, meskipun dosis pupuk hayati cair 8–9 ml/l dan Trichoderma 5 g/polybag memberikan nilai rata-rata terbaik pada beberapa parameter pengamatan. Tidak terdapat interaksi yang nyata antara kedua perlakuan terhadap seluruh parameter yang diamati.
