Abstract

This study was motivated by the low understanding of class VIII students about the material of the archipelago dance types at SMP Negeri 189 Jakarta in the 2024-2025 school year.in improving the understanding of the material of the archipelago dance types.The research subjects amounted to 36 class VIII students consisting of 16 male students and 20 female students. The purpose of this study was to improve students' understanding of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model. The research method used Classroom Action Research (PTK) model Kemmis and McTaggart, conducted in two cycles and six meetings, Cycle I, which consisted of four meetings covering conceptual material of the archipelago dance, group exercises, game material, pre-cycle 59.30% rose to 70.63% in Cycle I and 84.30% in Cycle II. The results of the study obtained an increase with an average value of data collected descriptively and quantitatively through observation, documentation, assessment sheets, and evaluation tests of the initial assessment of the tournament. Cycle II was carried out consisting of two meetings, including the final evaluation, increased cooperation, Team Games Tournament (TGT) can improve student understanding of learning types of archipelago dance in the classroom by involving student activeness, working together in groups and participating through educational games.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa kelas VIII tentang materi jenis tari nusantara di SMP Negeri 189 Jakarta tahun ajaran 2024–2025.dalam meningkatkan pemahaman materi jenis tari nusantara.Subjek penelitian berjumlah 36 siswa kelas VIII terdiri dari 16 siswa laki-laki dan 20 siswa perempuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang model pembelajaran kooperatif Team Games Tournament (TGT). Metode penelitian menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart,dilakukan dalam dua siklus dan enam pertemuan, Siklus I,yang terdiri dari empat pertemuan meliputi materi konsepdasat tari nusantara,latihan kelompok,permainan materi, prasiklus 59,30% naik menjadi 70,63% pada Siklus I dan 84,30% pada Siklus II.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif diperdalam..Hasil penelitian diperoleh peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata Data dikumpulkan secara deskriptif dan kuantitatis melalui hasil observasi, dokumentasi, lembar penilaian, dan tes evaluasi penilaian awal turnamen.Siklus II dilakukan terdiri dari dua pertemuan,mencakup evaluasi akhir,peningkatan kerja sama,pen Team Games Tournament ( TGT ) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada pembelajaran jenis tari nusantara dikelas dengan melibatkan keaktifan siswa,bekerja sama dalam kelompok serta berpartisipasi melalui permainan edukatif.
