Abstract
Problem-solving ability is an important competency that students must have in the 21st century education eru. However, the level of problem-solving ability is still relatively low so it needs to be improved in learning. This study aims to determine the effect of the SETS-based OIDDE model on students problem-solving abilities ecological material. This study uses a non-equivalent control group design involving class VIIC as the experimental class and class VIIK as the control class. The instruments used to support this research data consist of problem-solving ability test instruments in the form of essay questions, non test instruments including validation questionnaires, model implementation observation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence of the SETS-based OIDDE learning model on students' problem-solving abilities in ecological material. This is evidenced by the results of the hypothesis text using Mann Whitney showing results of 0.000 0.05 which indicates the acceptance of Hl and rejection of HO. The results of the pretest and posttest analysis of the experimental class respectively obtained an average of 35,12 and 80,85 while in the control class obtained an average value of 25,51 and 70,17. | Additional Information: | Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan kompetensi penting yang harus dimiliki peserta didik di era pendidikan abad 21. Namun, tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah ini masih tergolong rendah sehingga perlu ditingkatkan dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model OIDDE berbasis SETS terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi ekologi. Metode penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan jenis quasy experiment. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain non equivalent control design group yang melibatkan kelas VIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIK sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mendukung data penelitian ini terdiri dari instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang berupa soal uraian, instrumen non tes yang meliputi lembar angket validasi, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model dan lembar angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran OIDDE berbasis SETS terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi ekologi. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan perolehan Uji hipotesis menggunakan Mann Whitney menunjukkan hasil 0,0000,05 yang mengindikasikan diterimanya Hi dan ditolaknya Ho. Hasil analisis pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen berturut-turut diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 35,12 dan 80,85 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 25.51 dan 70,17.
