Abstract
Groundwater is still the main source for many people in Cilegon City, especially in areas that have not been reached by PDAM services. Also with the rapid development of industry and the increasing growth of the city, there are concerns about the quality of groundwater in Cilegon. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze water quality with applicable quality standards. This research aims to find out the quality of groundwater in the Jombang District, Cilegon City. Using the Canadian Council of Ministers of The Environment (CCME-WQI) method, the water quality index value was then obtained. Then using QGIS software, the water quality index values in each region will be made a water quality index map that covers each point of the research location. Based on the results of laboratory tests and data analysis using the CCME – WQI method, all research sites showed the category of Very Poor groundwater quality. The index value of each region is 41,15 for Masigit Village, 34,80 for Gedong Dalem, and 37,28 for Jombang Wetan. Groundwater quality index mapping using QGIS software shows that the three villages are in the red zone which indicates high pollution, so groundwater is not suitable for hygiene and sanitation purposes.

| Additional Information: | Air tanah masih jadi sumber utama bagi banyak masyarakat di Kota Cilegon, terutama di daerah yang belum terjangkau layanan PDAM. Juga dengan perkembangan industri yang pesat dan pertumbuhan kota yang terus meningkat menimbulkan kekhawatiran terhadap kualitas air tanah di Cilegon. Sehingga diperlukannya analisis kualitas air dengan standar mutu yang berlaku. Penelitian ini yaitu bertujuan untuk mengetahu kualitas air tanah di wilayah Kecamatan Jombang, Kota Cilegon. Dengan menggunakan metode Canadian Council of Ministers of The Environment (CCME-WQI) yang kemudian didapatkan nilai indeks kualitas air. Lalu dengan menggunakan software QGIS nilai indeks kualitas air pada setiap wilayah akan dibuat peta indeks kualitas air yang mencakup pada setiap titik lokasi penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil uji laboratorium dan analisis data menggunakan metode CCME – WQI, seluruh lokasi penelitian menunjukkan kategori kualitas air tanah Sangat Buruk. Nilai indeks masing-masing wilayah adalah 41,15 untuk Kelurahan Masigit, 34,80 untuk Gedong Dalem, dan 37,28 untuk Jombang Wetan. Pemetaan indeks kualitas air tanah menggunakan software QGIS memperlihatkan bahwa ketiga kelurahan tersebut berada pada zona merah yang menandakan pencemaran tinggi, sehingga air tanah tidak layak digunakan untuk keperluan higiene dan sanitasi. | |||||||||
