Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of implementing the Teaching Factory (TEFA) in improving the quality of learning in Vocational High Schools (SMK) to make it more relevant to the needs of the business and industrial world. The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of the Teaching Factory at SMKN 8 Tangerang Regency based on seven indicators, namely: identification of products/services, competency scope analysis, product design, analysis of resource adequacy, TEFA product development, product outcomes, and evaluation and feedback. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with a single variable. The research subjects consisted of 43 respondents, including 5 teachers, 18 students, 5 industry partners, and 15 customers. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire with 98 statements. Validity testing was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation with a significance level of 5%, while reliability was tested using Cronbach's Alpha with very high reliability results (α > 0.90). Data analysis was carried out through calculations of mean, median, mode, standard deviation, frequency distribution, pie charts, and variable achievement levels based on percentage criteria. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Teaching Factory at SMKN 8 Kabupaten Tangerang is generally in the very good category, with a final achievement percentage of 87.5%. Specifically, the product/service identification indicator obtained 85.7%, competence coverage analysis 88.2%, product design 86.5%, resource adequacy analysis 89.0%, TEFA product execution 87.3%, product results 88.7%, and evaluation and feedback 86.9%. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Teaching Factory at SMKN 8 Tangerang Regency has run optimally on all the indicators studied and can serve as a reference in the development of industry-based learning in vocational high schools. Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penerapan Teaching Factory (TEFA) dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) agar lebih relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia usaha dan dunia industri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan Teaching Factory di SMKN 8 Kabupaten Tangerang ditinjau dari tujuh indikator, yaitu: identifikasi produk, analisis cakupan kompetensi, perancangan produk, analisis kecukupan sumber daya, pengerjaan produk TEFA, hasil produk, serta evaluasi dan umpan balik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan variabel Tunggal, dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 43 responden yang terdiri dari 5 guru, 18 siswa, 5 mitra industri, dan 15 pelanggan. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner skala Likert dengan 98 butir pernyataan. Uji validitas dilakukan menggunakan korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, sedangkan reliabilitas diuji menggunakan Cronbach Alpha dengan hasil reliabilitas sangat tinggi (α > 0,90). Analisis data dilakukan melalui perhitungan mean, median, modus, standar deviasi, distribusi frekuensi, diagram pie, serta tingkat pencapaian variabel dengan kriteria persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan Teaching Factory di SMKN 8 Kabupaten Tangerang secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan persentase capaian akhir sebesar 87,5%. Secara rinci, indikator identifikasi produk memperoleh 85,7%, analisis cakupan kompetensi 88,2%, perancangan produk 86,5%, analisis kecukupan sumber daya 89,0%, pengerjaan produk TEFA 87,3%, hasil produk 88,7%, serta evaluasi dan umpan balik 86,9%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan Teaching Factory di SMKN 8 Kabupaten Tangerang telah berjalan optimal pada semua indikator yang diteliti dan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis industri di SMK.
