Abstract
This study aims to find out how the principles of irony and humor are used in the dialogue of the film Agak Laen by director Muhadkly Acho and its implications for Indonesian language teaching materials in high schools. This study uses a qualitative research method. The data collection method uses observation, while the analysis method used in this study is a pragmatic matching method to find violations of the principle of politeness in language so that the utterances reveal the principles of irony and humor. The results show that the use of the principle of irony in the dialogue of the film Agak Laen is characterized by several things, such as the discrepancy between expectations and reality, where the use of the principle of irony with the intention of sarcasm makes the purpose of the speech not conveyed to the interlocutor. The use of the principle of humor in the film Agak Laen occurs due to several factors, such as the close kinship between the speaker and the interlocutor, which allows for freedom of speech and a disregard for politeness in conversation.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan bagaimanakah penggunaan prinsip ironi dan prinsip kelakar dalam dialog film “Agak Laen” karya sutradara Muhadkly Acho serta implikasinya terhadap bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak, sedangkan metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode padan pragmatis untuk menemukan pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan berbahasa sehingga tuturan memperlihatkan wujud prinsip ironi dan prinsip kelakar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan prinsip ironi dalam dialog film “Agak Laen” ditandai oleh beberapa hal seperti ketidaksesuaian antara harapan dengan kenyataan dimana penggunaan prinsip ironi dengan maksud sindiran menjadikan tujuan tuturan tidak tersampaikan kepada mitra tutur. Sementara itu, penggunaan Prinsip kelakar pada film “Agak Laen” terjadi karena beberapa faktor seperti adanya hubungan kekerabatan yang dekat antara penutur dengan mitra tutur sehingga kebebasan berbahasa terjadi serta sopan santun dalam berbicara tidak diperhatikan. Implikasi prinsip ironi dan prinsip kelakar dalam bahan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA relevan dengan standar kompetensi mata pembelajaran dan kompetensi dasar yang harus dicapai peserta didik. Materi pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan keterampilan berbicara seperti debat, pidato, drama, atau keterampilan menulis seperti teks anekdot dan materi lainnya berhubungan dengan prinsip ironi dan prinsip kelakar. | |||||||||
