Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between students’ level of learning concentration and their academic achievement in mathematics. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data were collected through a mathematics test and a questionnaire distributed to respondents, the analyzed using simple linear regression, correlation coefficient analysis, and the coefficient of determination. The study was conducted at SDN Sindangmandi, Serang Regency. The sampling technique used was a census, involving all 48 fourth-grade students as respondents. The result of the simple linear regression test showed that the calculated F value Fcount was 75.21, which is greater than the Ftable value of 4.05, with the regression equation Y = 0.68 + 0.62X. This indicates a significant influence of students’ learning concentration levels on their academic achievement. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient Rxy was 0.79, which, based on the correlation coefficient criteria table, falls into the “strong” category. The coefficient of determination was found to be 62%, indicating that students’ concentration level contribute 62% to their learning outcomes.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat konsentrasi belajar peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar pada pembelajaran matematika. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan ialah kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Data dalam penelitian ini didapatkan melalui tes soal matematika dan penyebaran angket kepada responden yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana, uji koefisien korelasi, dan uji koefisien determinasi. Lokasi pelaksanaan penelitian ini di SDN Sindangmandi Kabupaten Serang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sensus yaitu keseluruhan peserta didik kelas IV sehingga banyaknya sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 48 responden. Hasil pengujian regresi linier sederhana didapatkan Fhitung 75,21 ≥ Ftabel 4,05 dengan persamaan Y = 0,68 + 0,62X. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara tingkat konsentrasi belajar peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar. Sedangkan hasil pengujian koefisien korelasi didapatkan nilai Rxy sebesar 0,79 dimana berdasarkan tabel kriteria penentuan besaran koefisien korelasi berada di tingkat “kuat”, serta didapatkan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 62% yang menunjukkan besaran kontribusi pengaruh antara tingkat konsentrasi belajar peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar.
