Abstract
This study aims to develop an English learning e-module that integrates local wisdom values with the Pancasila student profile for junior high school students in Tangerang City. The research was motivated by the need for teaching materials that not only improve students’ English proficiency but also instill cultural values and national character. So far, English learning materials in schools have tended to focus solely on linguistic aspects, without sufficient attention to sociocultural contexts and character development. The study employed the ADDIE development model, which includes five main stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. At the development stage, the e-module was designed with procedural text materials featuring local culinary themes such as ―How to Make Asinan‖ and ―How to Make Selendang Mayang Ice.‖ The validation process involved content and media experts to assess the quality of the content, language, and visual design. Subsequently, the module was implemented among eighth-grade students, and its effectiveness was evaluated through pre-test and post-test assessments. The results showed that the developed e-module received excellent ratings from both content and media experts, with average validity scores of 3.52 and 3.30 out of 4.00, respectively. The effectiveness test revealed a significant improvement in students’ ability to write procedural texts after using the emodule. In addition, students responded very positively to the module, noting that it was easy to use, engaging, and helpful in improving their understanding of the material. This research proves that e-modules are made effective for learning media and strengthen the character of Pancasila students. E-modules help students improve language skills and appreciate local culture. Students also become stronger in national identity. The development and use of e-modules like this should be extended to many schools. The goal is to make learning English more contextual, meaningful, and characterful.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dengan profil pelajar Pancasila bagi siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Tangerang. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari kebutuhan akan bahan ajar yang tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai budaya dan karakter bangsa. Bahan ajar bahasa Inggris di sekolah cenderung berorientasi pada aspek linguistik semata, tanpa memperhatikan konteks sosial budaya dan penguatan karakter peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang mencakup lima tahapan utama: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap pengembangan, e-modul dirancang dengan materi teks prosedur yang bertemakan kuliner lokal, seperti ―How to Make Asinan‖ dan ―How to Make Selendang Mayang Ice.‖ Proses validasi melibatkan ahli materi dan ahli media untuk menilai kualitas isi, kebahasaan, dan tampilan e-modul. Implementasi dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII dengan pengujian efektivitas melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul yang dikembangkan memperoleh penilaian sangat baik dari ahli materi dan ahli media, dengan skor rata-rata masing-masing sebesar 3,52 dan 3,30 dari skala 4,00. Uji efektivitas menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa setelah menggunakan e-modul. Respon siswa terhadap e-modul juga sangat positif; mereka menilai modul ini mudah digunakan, menarik, dan membantu memahami materi dengan lebih baik. Penelitian ini membuktikan e-modul yang dibuat efektif untuk media pembelajaran dan memperkuat karakter pelajar Pancasila. E-modul membantu siswa meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa dan menghargai budaya lokal. Siswa juga menjadi lebih kuat dalam identitas kebangsaan. Pengembangan dan penggunaan e-modul seperti ini sebaiknya diperluas ke banyak sekolah. Tujuannya agar pembelajaran bahasa Inggris lebih kontekstual, bermakna, dan berkarakter. | |||||||||
