Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) Implementation of Civics learning in instilling social skills to students (2) Application of Social Skills carried out by students in learning (3) supporting and inhibiting factors in instilling social skills in students. The method used in this research is an analytical descriptive study method with a qualitative approach, the sources in this study are students in grade 7, Civics subject teachers, school principals, and vice principals of the curriculum. The data collection procedures carried out are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study The implementation of Civics learning includes three stages, namely, the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. Students' social skills include skills to cooperate and interact with others, self-control skills, skills to share experiences and thoughts with others. The supporting factors are the suitability of the teacher's educational background, school support for curriculum development, the learning process in the classroom, teacher competence, and the academic ability of students. The inhibiting factors are obstacles in implementing it, constrained by learning facilities that have not all been fulfilled, namely facilities and infrastructure and also teachers holding too many classes.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Implementasi pembelajaran PPKn dalam menanamkan social skill kepada peserta didik (2) Penerapan Social Skill yang dilakukan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran (3) faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya menanamkan social skill pada peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode studi deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif, narasumber dalam penelitian ini adalah Peserta Didik di jenjang kelas 7, Guru mata pelajaran PPKn, Kepala sekolah, dan wakil kepala sekolah kurikulum. Adapun prosedur pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian Implementasi pembelajaran PPKn meliputi tiga tahapan yaitu, tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Keterampilan sosial peserta didik meliputi keterampilan bekerjasama dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain, keterampilan mengontrol diri, keterampilan berbagi pengalaman dan pikiran dengan orang lain. Adapun faktor pendukung yaitu kesesuaian latar belakang pendidikan guru, dukungan sekolah terhadap perkembangan kurikulum, proses pembelajaran di kelas, kompetensi guru, kemampuan akademis peserta didik. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya yaitu hambatan dalam menerapkannya terkendala fasilitas pembelajaran yang belum semua terpenuhi yaitu sarana dan prasarana dan juga guru terlalu memegang banyak kelas.
