Abstract
The rapid growth of information has created a new challenge in influencing readers' behavior in consuming news. In an effort to overcome this challenge, news storytelling has emerged as an interesting approach to presenting news. One online media that presents news storytelling is @catchmeupco. This account is an online media on platform X that provides news using a bilingual approach to offer concise and easy-to-understand summaries of daily events for readers. This study aims to determine the level of respondents understanding of the presentation of news storytelling by @catchmeupco, to understand the news consumption behavior of readers of the @catchmeupco media, and to determine the extent of the influence of news storytelling presentation on the news consumption behavior of readers of the @catchmeupco media. The theory used is behaviorism theory. The research type is quantitative with a survey research method. The research population consists of followers of @catchmeupco, with a sample size of 100 respondents. Based on the coefficient of determination, the influence of news storytelling on the news consumption behavior of @catchmeupco account followers is 21.8%. The remaining 78.2% is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study. The results of the simple linear regression yielded the regression value Y = 37.554 + 1.316X. The value obtained in the hypothesis test with the calculated t count (5.228) > the value of t table (1.984) means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, or there is an influence between the presentation of news storytelling and the news consumption behavior of followers of the @catchmeupco account. The research results indicate that the news storytelling used by @catchmeupco serves as a stimulus that conveys messages and information to the followers of the @catchmeupco account. Therefore, the news storytelling presented by Catch Me Up! has a strong relationship with the news consumption behavior of readers of that media

Dalam upaya untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, news storytelling telah muncul sebagai pendekatan yang menarik dalam penyajian berita. Salah satu media yang menyajikan news storytelling adalah @catchmeupco. Akun tersebut merupakan media online di platform X yang menyediakan berita dengan pendekatan kedwibahasaan untuk memberikan rangkuman peristiwa harian secara ringkas dan mudah dipahami oleh pembaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman responden mengenai penyajian news storytelling @catchmeupco, mengetahui perilaku konsumsi berita pembaca media @catchmeupco, dan mengetahui besaran pengaruh penyajian news storytelling terhadap perilaku konsumsi berita pembaca media @catchmeupco. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori behaviorisme. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian adalah pengikut X @catchmeupco dengan sampel sebanyak 100 responden. Berdasarkan nilai koefisien determinasi besarnya pengaruh yang diberikan news storytelling terhadap perilaku konsumsi berita pengikut akun X @catchmeupco yaitu sebesar 21,8%. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 78,2% dipengaruhi faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Hasil regresi linier sederhana didapatkan nilai regresi Y = 37,554 + 1,316X. Nilai yang didapat pada uji hipotesis dengan nilai t hitung (5,228) > nilai t tabel (1,984) yang berarti H_0 ditolak dan H_a diterima, atau terdapat pengaruh antara penyajian news storytelling terhadap perilaku konsumsi berita pembaca pengikut akun X @catchmeupco. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa news storytelling yang digunakan oleh @catchmeupco, berperan sebagai stimulus yang menyampaikan pesan dan informasi kepada pengikut akun X @catchmeupco. Oleh karena itu, news storytelling yang disajikan oleh Catch Me Up! memiliki hubungan erat dengan respons perilaku konsumsi berita pembaca media tersebut. | ||||||
