Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of ecoliteracy among junior high school students, which requires innovative learning materials based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The proposed solution is the development of an e-booklet designed to facilitate students’ understanding of sustainability concepts while enhancing environmental awareness. The purpose of this research is to develop an ESD-based e-booklet to train students’ ecoliteracy skills and to determine the results of expert validation as well as students’ responses to the product. The research method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, the study was limited to the implementation stage through small-scale trials. Research instruments consisted of validation sheets from material experts, media experts, teaching material experts, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that assessments from material, media, and teaching material experts were categorized as “very good” with a percentage of 87%. Student responses were also positive, with a score of 85% categorized as “very good.” In conclusion, the developed ESDbased e-booklet has been validated and tested on a limited scale, making it a potential alternative learning resource to improve students’ ecoliteracy skills.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan ekoliterasi peserta didik SMP sehingga diperlukan inovasi bahan ajar berbasis Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pengembangan e-booklet yang dirancang untuk memudahkan pemahaman konsep keberlanjutan sekaligus meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan e-booklet berbasis ESD untuk melatih kemampuan ekoliterasi peserta didik SMP serta mengetahui hasil validasi ahli dan respon peserta didik terhadap produk. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Namun, penelitian hanya dilakukan sampai tahap implementasi melalui uji coba terbatas. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi ahli materi, ahli media, ahli bahan ajar, serta angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penilaian dari ahli materi, media, dan bahan ajar berada pada kategori “sangat baik” dengan persentase 87%. Respon peserta didik juga tergolong positif dengan persentase 85% berada ada kategori “Sangat Baik”. Dengan demikian, e-booklet berbasis ESD yang dikembangkan telah divalidasi dan diujicobakan secara terbatas.
