Abstract

The formation of religious character in students refers to the teaching system of character values to school members, which involves elements of awareness, knowledge, and actions to implement these various values. To realize the development of religious character in students, conscious and continuous efforts are needed. One of the efforts made by SDIT Tunas Cendekia Cilegon is through the morning assembly program held every morning before beginning lessons. This morning assembly program aims to shape the religious character of the students. This study aims to understand how the implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as the implications of the morning assembly program in the formation of religious character in grade III of SDIT Tunas Cendekia Cilegon. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, employing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this research show that the formation of students' religious character through the morning assembly program, which includes congregational Dhuha prayers, Quran recitation, religious lectures, and reading Asmaul Husna, has resulted in the majority of students possessing religious indicators such as obedience to God, responsibility, self-confidence, sincerity, creativity, respect for others, honesty, and discipline.

Additional Information: Pembentukan karakter religius dalam diri peserta didik mengacu pada sistem pengajaran nilai-nilai karakter terhadap anggota sekolah, yang melibatkan unsur kesadaran, pengetahuan, serta tindakan guna mengimplementasikan berbagai nilai tersebut. Untuk mewujudkan pembentukan karakter religius pada siswa, diperlukan upaya yang sadar dan berkelanjutan. salah satu upaya yang dilakukan oleh SDIT Tunas Cendekia Cilegon adalah dengan mengadakan program majelis pagi yang dilakukan setiap pagi sebelum memulai pembelajaran. Program majelis pagi ini bertujuan guna membentuk karakter religius peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan, faktor pendukung dan penghambat, serta implikasi program majelis pagi dalam pembentukan karakter religius di kelas III SDIT Tunas Cendekia Cilegon. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskripsi dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik melalui program majelis pagi yang kegiatannya meliputi shalat dhuha berjamaah, tadarus Al-Qur’an, kultim, dan membaca asmaul husna telah menjadikan mayoritas peserta didik memiliki indikator religius seperti taat kepada Allah, bertanggung jawab, percaya diri, Ikhlas, kreatif, menghargai orang lain, jujur, dan disiplin.
