Abstract

The decline in the performance of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) of the Regional Apparatus at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Banten Province has created a need for the organization to identify the factors causing this decline, both in terms of management, human resources, and the external environment. This study aims to examine and analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction and the moderating role of family supportive supervisor behavior in the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to improving performance in public agencies such as the BPKAD of Banten Province. This study uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques. Data was collected through a survey of BPKAD employees in Banten Province. The survey results were then analyzed to understand the relationship between work-life balance, job satisfaction, family supportive supervisor behavior, and employee performance. This analysis tested the direct and indirect effects of these variables on employee performance. The results of the study based on direct effect and indirect effect hypothesis testing show that: 1) Work-life balance has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance. 2) Work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. 3) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. 4) Job satisfaction positively and significantly mediates the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance. 5) Family supportive supervisor behavior positively and significantly moderates the effect of work-life balance on employee performance.

Additional Information: Penurunan capaian Sistem Akuntabilitas Kinerja Instansi Pemerintah (SAKIP) Perangkat Daerah pada Badan Pengelolaan Keuangan dan Aset Daerah (BPKAD) Provinsi Banten menimbulkan kebutuhan organisasi untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab penurunan tersebut, baik dari sisi manajemen, sumber daya manusia maupun lingkungan eksternal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis peran mediasi kepuasan kerja dan peran moderasi family supportive supervisor behavior dengan hubungan work-life balance terhadap kinerja pegawai. Temuan dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kinerja di instansi publik seperti BPKAD Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data dikumpulkan melalui metode survei kepada pegawai BPKAD Provinsi Banten. Hasil survei kemudian dianalisis untuk memahami hubungan antara work-life balance, kepuasan kerja, family supportive supervisor behavior dan kinerja pegawai. Analisis ini menguji pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung dari variabel-variabel tersebut terhadap kinerja pegawai. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan uji hipotesis langsung dan tidak langsung menunjukan bahwa: 1) Work-life balance berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. 2) Work-life balance berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. 3) Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. 4) Kepuasan kerja memediasi secara positif dan signifikan hubungan work-life balance terhadap kinerja pegawai. 5) Family supportive supervisor behavior memoderasi secara positif dan signifikan pengaruh work-life balance terhadap kinerja pegawai.
