Abstract

The productivity of sero fisheries in Lada Bay was influenced by the variation in the depth of installation. This study aims to analyze the cath composition and Sero productivity at different depths. The research was conducted from March to April 2025 using a quantitative descriptive method through field observation. A total of 14 trips at Sero with different depths (3 m, 4 m, and 6 m) were observed during the observation. The data was analyzed using ANOVA and the Kruskal-Wallis test. The Sero caught 5,798 individuals from 42 species with a total weight of 180.47 kg, consisting of 35% main catch and 65% bycatch. The depth differences do not have a significant effect on catch weight, although a depth of 3 m recorded the highest catch weight. The catch productivity at depths of 3 m and 4 m is relatively higher than at 6 m. Therefore, using sero at shallower depths is more effective in obtaining catches in terms of both quantity and size.

Additional Information: Produktivitas perikanan sero di Teluk Lada dipengaruhi oleh variasi kedalaman pemasangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komposisi tangkapan dan produktivitas Sero pada berbagai kedalaman. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret hingga April 2025 dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif melalui observasi lapangan. Sebanyak 14 trip di Sero dengan berbagai kedalaman (3 m, 4 m, dan 6 m) diamati selama pengamatan. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan uji Kruskal-Wallis. Sebanyak 5.798 individu dari 42 spesies tertangkap di Sero dengan berat total 180,47 kg, terdiri dari 35% tangkapan utama dan 65% tangkapan sampingan. Perbedaan kedalaman tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap bobot tangkapan, meskipun kedalaman 3 m mencatat bobot tangkapan tertinggi. Produktivitas tangkapan pada kedalaman 3 m dan 4 m relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada kedalaman 6 m. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan sero pada kedalaman yang lebih dangkal lebih efektif dalam memperoleh hasil tangkapan, baik dari segi kuantitas maupun ukuran.
