Abstract

Threadfin bream (Upeneus sulphureus) is included in the demersal fish group. The number of threadfin bream catches in PPN Karangantu in 2022 reached 442 tons. Threadfin bream contains 15.43% protein. Threadfin bream is a marine fish that has not been optimally utilized and is usually only consumed directly as a side dish. One way to utilize it is to process it into fish meal as a source of protein in cat feed. The research method used was laboratory experiment using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely the addition of threadfin bream meal F0 (0%), F1 (25%), F2 (50%), F3 (75%) with a ratio of 0:75, 25:50, 25:50, 75:0. The research was conducted in 2 stages, making fish meal and making cat food. The results of this study indicate that the feed has a high protein content and can meet the daily standards of cats. F2 is the best treatment with 25% soy flour and 50% threadfin bream fish flour. In the Cat, it is to be fed in the F2 treatment. This is in the preference level tests for calcium and vitamin A. In the calcium test, cat feed contains 0.39%. In the vitamin A test, the feed does not contain vitamin A.

Additional Information: Ikan kuniran masuk ke dalam kelompok ikan demersal. Jumlah tangkapan ikan kuniran di PPN Karangantu pada tahun 2022 yaitu mencapai 442 ton. Kuniran mengandung 15,43% protein. Ikan kuniran adalah ikan laut yang belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal dan biasanya hanya dikonsumsi secara langsung sebagai lauk. Salah satu cara pemanfaatannya adalah diolah menjadi tepung ikan sebagai sumber protein pada bahan pakan kucing. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan karakteristik pakan kucing yang terbuat dari tepung ikan kuniran dan menentukan konsentrasi terbaik pakan kucing. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei-Desember 2024. Proses pembuatan pakan akan dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknologi Pengolahan Hasil Perikanan, Program Studi Ilmu Perikanan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu eksperimental laboratorium menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu penambahan tepung ikan kuniran F0 (0%), F1 (25%), F2 (50%), F3 (75%) dengan perbandingan 0:75, 25:50, 25:50, 75:0. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 2 tahap, pembuatan tepung ikan dan pembuatan pakan kucing. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pakan memiliki kandungan kadar protein tinggi dan dapat memenuhi standar harian kucing. F2 menjadi perlakuan terbaik dengan perlakuan tepung kedelai 25% dan tepung ikan kuniran 50%. Pada uji tingkat kesukaan, kucing lebih menyukai pakan pada perlakuan F2. Hal tersebut digunakan untuk pengujian kalsium dan juga vitamin A. Pada uji kalsium pakan kucing mengandung 0,39%. Pada uji vitamin A, pakan tidak mengandung vitamin A.
