Abstract
This study describes the inhibiting factors of critical aND creative thinking skills in Sociology class XI at SMAN 2 Serang City. The purpose of this study, namely to describe and analyizing what are the inhibiting factors of critical and creative thinking skills in Sociology class XI at SMAN 2 Kota Serang. The theory used in this research is Vygostky's analysis. This research is a qualitative case study approach. With data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants involved in this study, namely the principal, subject teachers, and students. From the research that has been done, there are results in this study, namely the inhibiting factors of critical and creative thinking skills in class XI Sociology subjects at SMAN 2 Serang City consist of 3 (three) factors. in the teacher factor, namely in the teaching process more often using the lecture method and lack of assertiveness when teaching, media or tools are limited to using only projectors in this case the lack of utilization of technology, and comes from the students themselves who are an inhibiting factor in critical and creative thinking in class XI Sociology subjects at SMAN 2 Serang City.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini menggambarkan faktor penghambat kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam mata pelajaran Sosiologi kelas XI di SMAN 2 Kota Serang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis apa saja faktor penghambat kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam mata pelajaran Sosiologi kelas XI di SMAN 2 Kota Serang. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu analisis Vygostky. Metode penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif pendekatan studi kasus. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini, yaitu kepala sekolah, guru mata pelajaran, dan siswa. Hasil dalam penelitian ini, yaitu faktor penghambat kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam mata pelajaran Sosiologi kelas XI di SMAN 2 Kota Serang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) faktor, pada faktor guru yaitu dalam proses mengajar lebih sering menggunakan metode ceramah dan kurangnya ketegasan saat mengajar, media atau alat bantu pun terbatas hanya menggunakan proyektor dalam hal ini kurangnya pemanfaat teknologi, serta berasal dari siswa itu sendiri yang menjadi faktor penghambat dalam berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam mata pelajaran Sosiologi kelas XI di SMAN 2 Kota Serang. | |||||||||
