Abstract

Discipline is one of the important characters that need to be formed from an early age. One effort to instill this character is through the habituation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) activities carried out at SDN Banjarsari 5, Serang City. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with research subjects including the principal, fifth grade teachers, and fifth grade students. The results of the study indicate that: 1) planning PHBS habituation activities is carried out by setting goals and targets, designing activities and their implementation schedules, conducting evaluations, and preparing supporting devices and collaborating with external parties; 2) the PHBS habituation process is carried out repeatedly through several methods, namely routine habituation, programmed habituation, spontaneous habituation, and habituation through role models; 3) supporting factors in PHBS habituation are students' knowledge and attitudes, the role of teachers, parental support, and the availability of school facilities and infrastructure, while inhibiting factors include differences in students' understanding, peer influence, and less supportive environments; 4) The character of students' discipline in living clean and healthy is reflected through their behavior in maintaining personal hygiene, body health, and cleanliness of the school environment.

Additional Information: Disiplin merupakan salah satu karakter penting yang perlu dibentuk sejak usia dini. Salah satu upaya menanamkan karakter tersebut adalah melalui kegiatan pembiasaan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) yang dilaksanakan di SDN Banjarsari 5 Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dengan subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru kelas V, serta peserta didik kelas V. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) perencanaan kegiatan pembiasaan PHBS dilakukan dengan menetapkan tujuan dan sasaran, merancang kegiatan dan jadwal pelaksanaannya, melakukan evaluasi, serta menyusun perangkat pendukung dan kerja sama dengan pihak eksternal; 2) proses pembiasaan PHBS dilakukan secara berulang melalui beberapa cara, yaitu pembiasaan rutin, pembiasaan terprogram, pembiasaan spontan, dan pembiasaan melalui keteladanan; 3) faktor pendukung dalam pembiasaan PHBS adalah pengetahuan dan sikap peserta didik, peran guru, dukungan orang tua, serta ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana sekolah, adapun faktor penghambatnya meliputi perbedaan pemahaman peserta didik, pengaruh teman sebaya, dan lingkungan yang kurang mendukung; 4) karakter disiplin hidup bersih dan sehat peserta didik tercermin melalui perilaku menjaga kebersihan diri, kesehatan tubuh, dan kebersihan lingkungan sekolah.
