Abstract
At the high school level, chemistry is a subject that most students find difficult. Learning abstract material and the lack of media utilization are among the reasons why this subject is considered difficult. This study aims to produce a visual novel game learning media on atomic structure, determine the feasibility of visual novel game learning media, and find out students' responses to visual novel game learning media. This study uses a Research and Development type of research applied based on the ADDIE model, in which the learning planning process is divided into five stages, each of which includes analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. The results of this study show that the visual novel game learning media based on the assessment of subject matter experts obtained an overall V score of 0.93 with a “Valid” category for use, while the assessment of media experts obtained an overall V score of 0.94 with a “Valid” for use, and the limited test results at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Serang with 44 students in class X-5 obtained an overall result of 76% with the category “Good”. Overall, it can be concluded that the visual novel game learning media is suitable for use in learning.

| Additional Information: | Pada tingkat sekolah menegah atas kimia adalah mata pelajaran yang dianggap sulit oleh sebagian besar siswa. Pembelajaran pada materi-materi yang bersifat abstrak kurangnya pemanfaatan media menjadi salah satu hal yang menyebabkan materi tersebut dianggap sulit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa game visual novel pada materi struktur atom, mengetahui kelayakan dari media pembelajaran game visual novel, dan mengetahui respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran game visual novel. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Research and Development diterapkan berdasarkan pengembagan model ADDIE yang dimana pada model ADDIE ini proses perencanaan pembelajaran terbagi menjadi lima tahapan, yang dimana masing-masing tahapan meliputi analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi serta tahapan evaluasi.. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu media pembelajaran game visual novel berdasarkan penilaian para ahli materi didapatkan nilai V keseluruhan sebesar 0,93 dengan kategori “Valid” untuk digunakan, penilaian para ahli media didapatkan nilai V keseluruhan sebesar 0,94 dengan kategori “Valid” untuk digunakan, dan hasil uji terbatas di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Serang dengan 44 siswa kelas X-5 didapatkan hasil keseluruhan sebesar 76% dengan kategori “Baik”. Secara keseluruhan disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran game visual novel layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. | |||||||||
