Abstract
The research aims to analyze the contribution of peopel's clove yard farming to farmers’ family income in Girilaya Village, Cipanas District, Lebak Regency, Banten. The background of this study is based on the importance of the role of clove commodities as a source of income for rural communities that have high economic potential. The method used is survey with a quantitative approach. The research location was determined purposively, while the sampling technique was carried by purposive sampling of 36 clove farmers. Primary data were obtained through observation and interviews using questionnaires, while secondary data were collected from relevant agencies. The results of the study showed that the cost incurred by farmers for clove yard consisted of fixed costs of Rp 757,731.73, variable cost of Rp 8,116,500.00, and labor costs of Rp 6,584,000.00. The total income earned by farmers from clove yard is Rp 8,874,231.73/year. Meanwhile, income from other jobs and contributions from family members amounted to Rp 391,800,000.00 and Rp 295,800,000.00/year respectively. Thus, the total income of farmer families reached Rp 36,886,308.27/year. The contribution of clove farming to total family income is only 5.09%/year , which is classified as very low <35%. This shows that most of the income of farming families in Girilaya Village still depends on other sources of income outside of clove farming. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase the productivity and added value of clove plantation so that its contribution to the family economy can be more optimal.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi pertanian kebun cengkeh masyarakat terhadap pendapatan keluarga petani di Desa Girilaya, Kecamatan Cipanas, Kabupaten Lebak, Banten. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya peran komoditas cengkeh sebagai sumber pendapatan bagi masyarakat pedesaan yang memiliki potensi ekonomi yang tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara purposif, sedangkan teknik sampling dilakukan dengan purposive sampling terhadap 36 petani cengkeh. Data primer diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner, sedangkan data sekunder dikumpulkan dari lembaga terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya yang dikeluarkan petani untuk kebun cengkeh terdiri dari biaya tetap sebesar Rp 757.731,73, biaya variabel sebesar Rp 8.116.500,00, dan biaya tenaga kerja sebesar Rp 6.584.000,00. Pendapatan total yang diperoleh petani dari kebun cengkeh adalah Rp 8.874.231,73/tahun. Sementara itu, pendapatan dari pekerjaan lain dan kontribusi dari anggota keluarga mencapai Rp 391.800.000,00 dan Rp 8.874.231,73/ 8.874.231,73/tahun. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pendapatan keluarga petani di Desa Girilaya masih bergantung pada sumber pendapatan lain di luar pertanian cengkeh. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan nilai tambah pekarangan cengkeh agar kontribusi nya terhadap perekonomian keluarga dapat lebih optimal. | |||||||||
