Abstract
Scientific literacy is a crucial skill and knowledge for students to apply science appropriately. The 2022 PISA results show Indonesia's ranking has risen 5-6 positions compared to the previous year. However, Indonesia's average scientific literacy score declined by 13 points to 383, leaving it 102 points below the international average. Learning media is a contributing factor to low scientific literacy, requiring teachers to utilize appropriate learning media. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Climate Kids website as a learning medium on junior high school students' scientific literacy skills in global warming. This study was conducted at Yappida Islamic Junior High School, with 30 students in each experimental and control class. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The results indicated that the learning process had been implemented very well. The Mann-Whitney test was used to test the hypothesis, yielding a significant result. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating rejection of H₀ and acceptance of H₁, with the interpretation of a significant effect. The average pretest value of 39.87 increased to 80.47 in the posttest, indicating that the experimental class achieved an N-Gain value of 67.52% with a fairly effective criterion. The magnitude of the influence of the Climate Kids website as a learning medium on scientific literacy skills can be seen from the effect size test of 1.219 with a high effect criterion. In addition, students responded very positively to the use of the Climate Kids website as a learning medium. This shows that the Climate Kids website has a significant influence on students' scientific literacy skills.

| Additional Information: | Keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang sangat penting agar peserta didik dapat menerapkan sains dengan tepat yaitu literasi sains. Hasil PISA 2022 menunjukkan peringkat Indonesia naik 5-6 posisi dibandingkan sebelumnya. Namun, rata-rata skor Indonesia mengalami penurunan pada kemampuan literasi sains turun sebanyak 13 poin menjadi 383 sehingga terpaut 102 poin dari rata-rata skor internasional. Salah satu faktor rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains adalah media pembelajaran, dengan demikian guru dituntut menggunakan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh website Climate Kids sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik SMP pada materi pemanasan global. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Islam Yappida dengan sampel penelitian masing-masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 30 peserta didik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan quasy experiment dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan proses pembelajaran telah terlaksana sangat baik. Uji Mann-Whitney digunakan untuk uji hipotesis mendapatkan hasil Sig. (2-tailed)bernilai 0,000 (< 0,05), menunjukkan penolakan H₀ dan penerimaan H₁, dengan interpretasi adanya pengaruh signifikan. Nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 39,87 mengalami peningkatan menjadi 80,47 pada posttest, menunjukkan kelas eksperimen mencapai nilai N-Gain sebesar 67,52% dengan kriteria cukup efektif. Besarnya pengaruh website Climate Kids sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan literasi sains terlihat dari uji effect size sebesar 1,219 dengan kriteria efek tinggi. Selain itu, peserta didik merespon sangat positif mengenai penggunaan website Climate Kids sebagai media pembelajaran. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa website Climate Kids memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik. | |||||||||
